Report Management
Alchemy
DataGrabber is used for COLD and enterprise report
management (ERM) applications. Together, DataGrabber
and Alchemy give you electronic access to the
documents you used to store only on microfiche
or green bar, so your users can quickly find the
information when they need it and you can reduce
your operational costs. DataGrabber
captures ASCII and EBCDIC print files created
by relational databases, corporate
reporting systems, or document management systems,
and imports the data directly into the
Alchemy repository at very high speeds. DataGrabber
uses a simple but powerful scripting
language to parse the file into pages, records
and profile fields. It provides a configurable
data
capture feature that allows you to create custom
report templates for each data source.

Capture
Alchemy
SCAN is an extension for Alchemy Premium and Alchemy
Gold. It is the easiest way to convert paper-based
documents into a secure electronic repository
that is also immediately accessible and searchable.
Alchemy
SCAN is completely integrated within the Alchemy
Build program. It captures paper documents using
a wide selection of popular scanners and uses
optical character recognition
(OCR) to create searchable text. SCAN also reads
barcodes and stores the information in profile
fields in the repository.
You
can index scanned images using one of six methods:
data entry, batch profiling, OCR zoning, OCR full-page,
OCR drag and drop or barcodes. SCAN’s handy
drag and drop OCR feature populates a profile
field with words from the image. SCAN can also
translate data from
barcodes into profile fields.

Alchemy
MailStore solves the problems of email regulatory
compliance and records retention by capturing
email from Exchange or Outlook in a secure repository,
so it can be selectively stored and managed as
a record, and retrieved at any time. You can use
MailStore for Exchange by itself, or combine it
with the MailStore for Outlook. The result –
a solution that keeps both the system administrator
and the end users happy.
